THE ALABAMA FLOATING RESTAURANT
The Alabama cruises the V&A basin as well as the Duncan and Ben Schoeman Docks. On your cruise, you delight in the view of the city, working harbour and Table Mountain while sipping cocktails on the deck or enjoying a delicious meal.
At night the twinkling lights of the city and harbour have as their backdrop, the floodlit majesty of Table Mountain, as you enjoy canapés, a sumptuous dinner or dancing on the aft deck.
We have a stellar list of entertainers, florists and musicians to enhance any occasion. These can be organised by special arrangement.
Our cruising catamaran accommodates 130 seated guests, 150 cocktail-style, on its two decks, serviced by a cash bar.
The only thing to prevent a cruise from departing the quay would be a strong south Easter in which case The Alabama will remain alongside the quay and the party would continue.

HOT AIR BALLOONING
An Exclusive Balloon Experience for up to 6 passengers.
We will meet the passengers at their hotel and take them to the balloon launch site. We have a table set up with tea, coffee and biscuits, which we serve to passengers on their arrival at the launch site. The table is covered with a white cloth, and decorated with flowers. Photographs can be taken before the launch with the morning light.
Our launch site is at Sabie River Adventures, about 12km from Hazyview The balloon takes off from the front lawn, which is an attractive area, with big trees to the side, and some garden area. The Sabie River is close by, and the early morning sounds are of the river, and the birds.
Once aboard the pilot briefs the passengers, and then the balloon takes off. The flight lasts about an hour, and goes where the wind goes. In a situation such as this, the pilot will also brief the passengers about the best time to say their vows, (without burner noise interruption). The flight lasts about an hour. On landing we serve Cape sparkling wine off a white covered table. We also have fruit juice and bottled water available, and offer a platter of dried tropical fruit.
After the flight the balloon returns by road to the launch site, and passengers are taken back to an exclusive venue for breakfast. The pilot will join the group for breakfast if they so choose, and present flight certificates and a small gift for each passenger. If they choose not to have the pilot present, we will post the certificates.
Please note that the legal part of the ceremony can not take place on the balloon, therefore the signing of the register will still need to be done after the verbal ceremony.
Approximate cost R17 500.00 for 6 passengers for roughly an hour including a ceremony.
